FLY PIC OF THE DAY

Ryan never stood a chance, he was just innocently eating a nougatlicious Snickers when Patrick Ewing came up to him with booty shorts on what he did best in The Big Apple (and GTown....Hoyas stand up!!)

FLY ISH OF THE DAY: The Matress Wallet

For those of you who want to take your drug money on the go I give you.

What recession? P.S. This IS Real

Dope. Sick. Fly

RANDOM FLYNESS: Kid Cudi - Mr. Solo Dolo Fan Video

After listening to this song and watching this video, I cant imagine the official video to look any other way. Kid Cudi is a depressed guy, and these are some depressed cartoons. It gets a little creepy but still a dope video. Cudi should take notice

JAM OF THE DAY: Wale - Inhibitions (Ft. Pharrell)

Being from PG County I am really rooting for Wale to put the DMV on the map but then he dropped that heap of steaming doo-doo called "Chillin Ft. Lady Gaga". Come on Wale!! I've heard better things from him on mixtapes (I own all of them by the way). Not to put any pressure on Wale but he has 2 states (3 if DC got Representation) and the Nation's Capital on his back. This cut from his anticipated album Attention Deficit helps relieve some but not all of the constipation I recieved from "Chillin", and of course it never hurts to have modern day Mozart Pharrell on the track with you. (Just ask The Clipse)

Inhibitions (Let Loose) (Feat. Pharrell) - Wale

THROWBACK JAM OF THE DAY: 2Pac - I Get Around

The throwback joint of the day belongs to one of the greatest to ever do it, 2Pac. There's nothing I can say about 2Pac that hasn't already been said. This video, however takes us back to a happier time, this was always my favorite 2Pac video just because of how much fun It looked like everyone was having. This was like an early version of Jay-Z's "Give It To Me" video. The rap version of the American Dream, 2Pac and The Digital Underground threw a party like none other, I don't think I've seen this many video girls at a cookout since.

FLY VIDEO OF THE DAY: Run This Town Spoof By. Affion Crockett

LMAO Was the first thing I said when I first saw this video. Affion Crockett is pretty interesting, some of his stuff is pure corny garbage but then every once in a while he drops comedy gold such as this genius spoof of run this town which found a way to make fun Jay-Z, Kanye, Chris Brown AND Rihanna all on the same song. This video is on the complete opposite side of the spectrum from Dance Flick (SMH Affion). He especially had Kanye's swag down pat. You didn't even have to see the original video to appreciate the humor in this one. I'm sure even Rihanna stans could appreciate it, if not oh well.

FLY KICKS OF THE DAY: Jordan Spiz'ike Winterized Boot

With the popularity of Nike boots reaching all time highs in the last few years I knew it was only a matter of time before Jordan brand followed suit. This shoe is a winterized hybrid of the already hybrid Spiz'ike. So that makes it like a Frankenstein shoe of sorts but overall it looks good so all those Jordan heads can rejoice (especially in Chicago) because now when winter rolls around you can still have a pair of J's to stomp around in.

FLY ISH OF THE DAY: The Mariner Pea Coat By Mishka

Its getting cold out (Brrrrr) so of course its time to bust out the fly jackets, beanies and boots for the winter. The Mariner Pea Coat by. Mishka will fit right in with any fly guys wardrobe. While everyone else is rocking black pea coats stand out like a white guy at a Omega probate. You can look flyer than everyone else for the low low price of $270. Via karmaloop.com

TECH FLYNESS: Monster Beats By Dre Headphones

I need these in my life!!!! If you never heard of Beats By. Dre headphones they're basically the Flat Screen 1080p plasma, mother of all headphones designed by legendary producer Dr. Dre. Its hard to believe that the same guy who made "F The Police" is now selling me electronics and Dr. Pepper. Well not really seeing as Ice-T plays a cop on TV, Ice Cube is doing children's films and Snoop Dogg sells just about everything. West Coast rappers sure have one hell of a retirement plan. Regardless, these headphones are the best thing to happen to your ears since sound. If u have an extra $300 laying around go cop these and treat yourself to an Eargasm....

ARTIST OF THE WEEK: Wiz Khalifa & Curren$y

Even though the How Fly Mixtape isn't new I felt the need to show my love for Wiz Khalifa & Curren$y as my co-artists of the week. Before I got on Gucci mode I bumped this mixtape nearly every day. How Fly gave birth to my blog's name and the picture on the header. Somewhere between the Gucci Manes, Drakes and Kid Cudis of the world Wiz and curren$y found their niche as the leaders of the stoner culture. I was fans of both before so a collaboration was like my dream come true. They both feed off of each other's laid back yet cocky swaggers over smooth instrumentals. Their music is perfect for two things, smoking and driving, If you like doing both then How fly is for you......

see for yourself

13 Surface to Air - Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa

THROWBACK RANDOM FLYNESS: Pharrell @ McDonalds

Just when I thought It wasn't possible to like Skateboard P any more than I already did this video surfaced. Now you know you're a musical genius when you can make up a song on the spot about how you want to eat Mickey D's. He really must be able to see sounds, probably from eating all that McDonald's red meat. He's damn near 40 and looks younger than me tho. Maybe he knows something we don't.

ALBUM OF THE WEEK: Gucci Mane & Dj Drama - The Burrprint (The Movie 3D)

Honestly, "Burrprint" is one of the dumbest words Ive ever heard and is an obvious ripoff of Jay-Z's Blueprint (most likely inspired by the recent release of the Blueprint 3) but despite all of that I cant stop listening to this mixtape. Its something about the pulse pounding bass and aggressive beats mixed with Gucci's semi retarded flow and memorable hooks that equals great.....oh yeah and u cant forget those priceless ad-libs......

Favorite Tracks

Dope Boys - Gucci Mane

Candy Lady - Gucci Mane

RANDOM FLYNESS: Kanye West x Spike Jonze - We Were Once A Fairy Tale

My favorite Rapper and the guy who directed the hit movie "Where The Wild Things Are" came together for this interesting short film...kinda reminds me of some wild nights I've had..say what you want about Kanye as a person but he is one creative bastard...

THROWBACK JAM OF THE DAY: Jay-Z - Can I Get A....

I actually had the clean version of the Rush Hour soundtrack that this song was on. Little did I know at 8 years old they were actually saying "Fuck You" instead of "What What". Great song either way.

FLY GIRL OF THE WEEK: Nicki Minaj

I try not to be one of those guys who just gushes over females and Nicki Minaj is no different. One thing I will give her is that girl can rap. She's in the save vein as a Lil' Kim (Circa 96' not 06')and Eve even though she can be a little slutty for my tastes. Away from the mic is a different story...all I can say here is DAMNNNNNN!!!!

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Rob Roy - Fur In My Cap

One of the most creative videos I've seen in a while....dont really know much about this dude but the song is dope.....

JAM OF THE DAY: Gucci Mane- Watch Cost A Bentley (Ft. Bun B & Rocko)

I'll admit I was not a fan of Gucci Mane until about the beginning of this past summer but love him or hate him you have to respect the mans work ethic and hook writing skills. Gucci's run right now reminds me of Lil' Wayne's Back in 2007 and we all know how that turned out. He might not be able to reach "Carter 3" mainstream popularity like Weezy but he has the mixtape game locked down for the immediate future. Heres a cut from The Burrprint mixtape I have on repeat featuring Underground King Bun B and one (and a half) hit wonder Rocko.

Gucci Mane - Watch Cost A Bentley (Feat. Bun B & Rocko) - Gucci Mane

FLY KICKS OF THE DAY: Jordan Retro 11's A.K.A. Space Jams

If you were born in the 90's like me the movie space jam should hold a special place in your heart. I would be hard pressed to find someone I grew up with who did not see this movie a million times as a kid. It had everything, cartoons, Michael Jordan and arguably the sickest pair of shoes ever assembled. Originally debuted in 1996 as MJ exclusive kicks for the movie, the 11's better known as Space Jams are finally back for the first time since 2001. Sneakerheads will have to wait a little longer though as the anticipated release date has been pushed a month back to December 23rd. Right in time for Christmas. (Coincidence? I think not.) Anyone trying to get their hands on these bad boys better get $400+ in cash and a tent because they're gonna sell quicker than waffles in Atlanta....

Genesis: The Takeoff

Well, this is the beginning....How Fly: The Blog...basically this blog is a collection of random stuff I see that's cool, funny, hot or just overall FLY....I have no clue where this blog will go, but I'm just going and seeing what I get out if it....countless blogs have inspired me so you might see a little bit of everything......I really cant think of anything else to say except.....LETS GO!!!!!
